Influence Training
Principles of Persuasion

This intensive, customized, two-day course will help you and your staff become effective and ethical influence agents. This workshop presents the latest perspectives and tactics that have been discovered by psychologists and influence researchers around the globe.

In this course, you and your staff will learn how to:

  • change others' beliefs and attitudes,
  • gain compliance,
  • improving relationships with the people you influence.

In this workshop, you will:

  • learn to recognize and construct elusive "moments of influence" during which people are particularly receptive to your requests;
  • understand how to effectively employ the six fundamental, powerful, and universal principles of influence that have been uncovered by contemporary psychological research;
  • distinguish between ethical and unethical uses of influence so that you build long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with clients, co-workers and colleagues;
  • understand how to use the principles of influence during interactions with co-workers who are above, below, and lateral to you in the organizational hierarchy;
  • learn about our proprietary Influence Application System of how to systematically apply the principles of influence to real-life situations;
  • practice your persuasive skills in simulations that reflect common influence situations;
  • learn how to recognize and manage influence attempts directed at you;
  • apply your influence knowledge to the particular problems that you face each day.
