Customer - Supplier Scavenger Total Time 1 ½ to 2 hours Theme: Teamwork, collaboration, and customer supplier relationships. This activity is designed to creatively exemplify current business priorities while developing momentum for the execution of those priorities in the workplace. It requires participants to determine a strategy, assign roles, gather an inventory, select products, and submit products to a "customer". The "Customer(s)" then accept or reject the products based on quality, uniqueness, authenticity, and overall physical condition. Participants are divided into an even number of teams of 5 to 12 members each. Each team is provided with a copy of an inventory checklist and given 15 minutes to plan a strategy. This is followed by a 45 minute implementation period. During the implementation period the participants must collect as many items on the inventory as possible. Trading is allowed but not mentioned. The completed inventory must be submitted to another team for review based on predetermined criteria. At the end of the exercise, a tally is made of how many acceptable items each team has collected. The scores of the paired teams are then totaled. Scores are compared to the total possible. The activity period is followed by a debrief period where participants explore: clarity and extent that objective and priorities were met, the team strategy and it effectiveness, roles and process. |
